David loves spending time outdoors, climbing, hiking and kayaking, and brings his unique perspective of personal growth, symbolism, and meaning with him wherever he goes. Having travelled extensively through China and Taiwan as a mentor and guide, he's able to utilize a broad worldview, rich and overflowing with history, to bring lessons from the masters to life as he teaches, facilitates, and coaches.
He enjoys playing tennis and volleyball, epic board games, and spending time with his family and friends. Dave is a Qi Gong Master from the Daoist lineage of Mount Qingcheng - The Green Fortress. He and his wife have 9 children ranging in ages from 4 to 25, have remodeled and flipped 4 homes while living in them, and both share an interest and passion for regenerative and organic farming.
With a special flair for relating to and engaging adolescent and young adult guys, he spent years volunteering to make camping trips, snow-shoe backpacking excursions, and 50 mile kayaking trips memorable and meaningful. He's planned and led educational and transformational trips through remote parts of China, including abandoned sections of the Great Wall, Zhangjiajie (where they filmed the Avatar movie,) and even camel riding through the Gobi desert of Inner Mongolia. Dave's life experiences, special interests, developed talents, natural abilities, and enthusiastic passion combine in the work he does of sharing personal growth and empowerment.
